Hylec-APL’s manufacturing arm, DE Controls, has developed a range of high quality, IP65 door enclosures. The enclosures have been designed to simplify installation and guarantee years of trouble free operations. Unlike many competitor products on the market which charge extra for accessories, the Hylec-APL range is supplied with a galvanised steel back plate, external mounting brackets and a lock and key as standard.

When specifying enclosures to protect vital electrical components, reliability and quality are two attributes which should feature high on anybody’s list of requirements. In the case of door enclosures, this is even more important. Often door enclosures are housing components that require regular access, meaning that the sealing must be able to withstand regular shutting without losing integrity. Hylec-APL has designed its range with long-term protection in mind; offering IP65 protection thanks to the liquid gasket seals which are a standard feature throughout the range.

The hinged door enclosures use flame retardant ABS with wall thicknesses of up to 3.5mm which offers impact resistance of IK08 (protection against impacts with an energy up to five joules). Because ABS is non-corrosive the enclosures are also able to offer protection from continual exposure to external conditions, even in marine applications. Eight different sizes are available, with a blank or transparent (polycarbonate) door option available, depending on the application’s demands.

Designed to offer the best value for money on the market, the door enclosures are supplied with many features as standard which keep the purchase costs low and ensure long lasting, trouble free operation. Additionally a quarter turn lock and key is supplied for further security when the doors are closed.

Installation is quick and easy thanks to external wall brackets that don’t compromise the overall IP rating and an internal galvanised steel back plate for easy mounting.
